Postgres has 3 levels (Read Uncommitted ≡ Read Committed). READ COMMITTED = per-statement snapshot. REPEATABLE READ = txn snapshot, no non-repeatable reads. SERIALIZABLE (SSI) = no phantoms/write-skew but aborts on serialization failures — retry required.
