My Shopify Frontend Developer loop

The loop

• Recruiter screen — background + a couple of warm-up questions.
• Technical phone screen — live coding, mid-difficulty.
• Onsite (virtual): two coding rounds, one system design, one behavioral.

What it was like

Shopify leaned medium on the coding bar. I narrated my thinking, asked clarifying questions early, and tested my own code.

Outcome

Result: offer. Negotiated and accepted.

Tips

Practice on a timer, and rehearse talking out loud — it's a skill of its own.
